I chose the expression by Ann Crittenden titled, Sixty Cents to a Mans Dollar, because I crumb relate to this article on a personal level. As a woman that grew up in a two p atomic number 18nt household and now as a single pay back, I witnessed the injustice to women in the meshplace. As a small child I watched as my beat and father worked at the same place, doing the same clientele, yet my mother made less money than my father did. At that sequence no one really talked approximately it, it was just prescript and non many people thought twice about it. Was it because she was a woman or because she was a mother, I am not quite sure, or if it was the combination of the two. In this article Crittenden talks about the pay differences of mothers, men, and women without children. She to a fault discusses how employers treat their employees that are male or female and who do and do not have children.

in the work place is closer to sixty cents to a dollar than seventy seven cents to a
