Holden Caulfield is a teenage boy who struggles to come to terms with  development up and accepting the responsibilities that come with it. In the  impudent The  backstop in the  rye written by J.D Salinger, Holden experiences internal and  smart conflict which by many is viewed as negative. The Cather in the  rye is a series of events following his thoughts of  hostelry once he was expelled from Pencey Prep school for boys in New York. Throughout the novel, the   subscriber can sense the internal conflict of Holden vs. himself to be   light and then the external conflict between Holden and society. This is made  passing apparent due to many purposeful writing choices by J.D Salinger.    Holden Caulfield seems to struggle with everyday life as well as the normality of accepting others and having  firmness of purpose.  When Holden  first base new that his  chum salmon had died he punched a  window and could not attend the funeral I wasnt there, I was  button up in hospital. This did not  go out Holden to  save substantial grieving time to seek  prudish closure. Holden  withal had very little support from his family as his  yield was a corporate lawyer who likely was similar to t   he 1940/50s muscular American man who would !   have  cut  brokenheartedness and death easily. His mother became nervous and his older brother DB  go away for Hollywood to pursue himself in the  motion-picture show industry. This left Holden with no support in a death-defying society.
